Download AI Garden Planner from the App Store or Google Play Store and open the app. You'll go through a quick onboarding to set up your first garden - choose your garden size, select crops, and set your location for personalized planting calendars. You can also use the camera to identify plants and get AI gardening advice through the chat assistant. Remember: This is an educational and entertainment tool only - always consult professional horticulturists for official advice.
AI Garden Planner uses Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) to provide plant identification, plant health diagnosis (Plant Doctor), an AI gardening chat assistant, garden layout planning with drag-and-drop, personalized planting calendars based on your climate zone, companion planting suggestions, harvest tracking, photo journals, and task management. All AI-powered features provide APPROXIMATE results for educational/entertainment purposes only.
AI Garden Planner offers a free tier with 3 plant scans per month, 10 photos per month, and 1 garden. Premium subscription tiers (weekly and yearly) provide unlimited scans, photos, gardens, and full access to all features. A 3-day free trial is available with the weekly subscription.

The planting calendar uses your location to determine your climate zone and frost dates, then generates personalized planting schedules for your crops. Note that planting dates are APPROXIMATE and may not account for local microclimates, unusual weather, or specific soil conditions. Always verify with your local agricultural extension service for the most accurate planting information for your area.
Plant images and garden data are stored locally on your device. Images are temporarily transmitted to Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) services for processing but are NOT stored for long-term storage by Google. Because images are processed by Google and not stored on our servers, we CANNOT delete images from Google's or OpenAI's systems. Please see our Privacy Policy for more details about data handling and Google's and OpenAI's respective data retention policies.
Try closing the app completely and reopening it. If the problem persists, restart your device. Make sure you have the latest version of AI Garden Planner installed from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Response times can vary based on Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) server load and internet connection. Try checking your internet connection and restarting the app if responses are consistently slow.
Make sure you have enough storage space on your device. Garden data is saved locally. Try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, contact support with your device model and OS version.
Make sure your location is set correctly in the app settings. The planting calendar uses your location to determine frost dates and climate zone. Note that dates are APPROXIMATE and should be verified with your local agricultural extension service.
AI Garden Planner requires camera access to take photos of plants and storage access to save your garden data and photo journal. Grant the necessary permissions in your device settings under Privacy & Security.
Check your internet connection as the chat feature requires connectivity to communicate with Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT). Try restarting the app. If the problem persists, contact support.
