This Privacy Policy describes how AI Garden Planner ("we," "our," or "us"), developed and operated by Viksva, MB, a company registered in Vilnius, Lithuania, collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application and services. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Plant and Garden Images: Images of plants, seeds, leaves, pests, and garden layouts you submit for identification and analysis
• Garden Data: Garden layouts, planted crops, garden sizes, locations, and planting history you create within the app
• Location Information: Your general location (city/region) used to determine frost dates, climate zones, and planting calendars
• User Preferences: Garden settings, notification preferences, and display settings
• Chat Messages: Messages you send to the AI garden assistant for gardening advice
• Account Information: If you create an account or purchase premium features
• Support Communications: Messages you send to our support team

2.2 Information We Collect Automatically

• Usage Data: App usage patterns, features used, time spent in app, plants identified, gardens created
• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, app version, and device identifier (device ID)
• Performance Data: Crash reports, error logs, and performance metrics
• Analytics Data: App events, user interactions, and usage statistics collected through Google Analytics (see Section 4.3)
• Purchase Data: Purchase history and subscription activity collected through Google Analytics
• Feature Usage: Number of plant identifications, AI chat sessions, garden edits, and other feature usage patterns

2.3 Camera and Storage Permissions

Camera Permission: We request camera access to allow you to take photos of plants, seeds, leaves, pests, and garden areas for identification and health diagnosis. When you use the camera feature:

• Photos are captured directly within the app for plant identification and health analysis through AI image analysis
• Images are stored locally on your device for access in your garden journal and history
• Images are transmitted to Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) services for processing, identification, and analysis
• Images sent to Google and/or OpenAI are processed temporarily and are NOT stored for long-term storage according to their respective data retention policies
• We do not store your photos on our own servers
• Because images are processed by Google and/or OpenAI and not stored by us, we CANNOT delete images that have been sent to these services - their retention is governed by their respective privacy policies
• You can delete images stored locally on your device at any time through the app

Storage Permission: We request storage access to save plant images, garden layouts, and identification results locally on your device. These locally stored data can be deleted by you at any time.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

• Plant Identification: Processing your plant images through Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) services to analyze and provide identification results (EDUCATIONAL/ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY - AI CAN AND WILL MAKE MISTAKES)
• Plant Health Diagnosis: Analyzing images of plants using Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) to suggest possible diseases, pest issues, or nutrient deficiencies (NOT a substitute for professional diagnosis - AI results may be completely incorrect)
• AI Gardening Assistant: Providing AI-generated gardening advice, planting suggestions, and companion planting recommendations through the chat feature powered by Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) (EDUCATIONAL/ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY - NOT professional horticultural advice)
• Planting Calendar: Generating personalized planting schedules based on your location and climate zone (APPROXIMATE - always verify with local agricultural extension services)
• Garden Planning: Storing garden layouts and crop data locally on your device
• Harvest Estimation: Processing harvest photos to estimate weight and yield (APPROXIMATE ONLY - may be significantly inaccurate)
• Service Provision: Delivering core app functionality and premium features
• Usage Tracking: Managing monthly usage limits for free users
• App Improvement: Analyzing usage patterns to enhance user experience
• Customer Support: Responding to your inquiries and providing assistance
• Legal Compliance: Meeting legal obligations and protecting our rights

4. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services. These services have their own privacy policies and terms of service, and we are not responsible for their data practices:

4.1 Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) and OpenAI (ChatGPT)

Plant images and chat messages are processed using Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) services for identification, health diagnosis, and gardening advice. Data is sent to these AI services for temporary processing. IMPORTANT: AI can and will make mistakes - identifications, diagnoses, and advice may contain significant errors or be completely incorrect. Key points about AI processing:

• Image Transmission: When you take a photo for identification or diagnosis, the image is transmitted to Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) for analysis
• Chat Processing: Messages sent to the AI garden assistant are transmitted to Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) for generating responses
• Temporary Processing: Data is processed temporarily by Google and/or OpenAI and is NOT stored for long-term storage according to their respective data retention policies
• No Deletion Control: Because data is processed by Google and/or OpenAI and not stored on our servers, we CANNOT delete data that has been sent to these services. Data retention and deletion are governed solely by their respective privacy policies
• Third-Party Responsibility: Processing of your data by Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, and processing by OpenAI is governed by OpenAI's Privacy Policy. We have no control over or responsibility for their data practices
• No Liability: We have ABSOLUTELY NO LIABILITY for how Google or OpenAI handles, processes, stores, or retains your images or data

4.2 RevenueCat and Subscription Management

We use RevenueCat to manage premium subscriptions and in-app purchases. When you subscribe to premium features:

• Payment Processing: All payments are processed through your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store)
• Subscription Data: RevenueCat collects and processes subscription status, purchase history, and payment information
• User Identification: RevenueCat may assign unique user IDs to track subscription status across devices
• Data Sharing: We receive anonymized subscription status information from RevenueCat to enable premium features
• Third-Party Processing: RevenueCat processes subscription information according to their privacy policy, and we are not responsible for their data handling practices

Subscription Plan Details:

• Weekly Subscription: Includes a 3-day free trial period. Billing begins automatically after the trial expires unless cancelled
• Yearly Subscription: No trial period. Billing begins immediately upon subscription
• Automatic Renewal: All subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled through your app store account before the current period expires
• Trial Cancellation: You can cancel during the trial period to avoid charges

4.3 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand app usage and improve our services. Google Analytics collects the following data:

• App Events: User interactions and actions within the app, such as screen views, button taps, feature usage, plant identifications performed, gardens created, and other in-app activities
• Device Identifier (Device ID): A unique identifier associated with your device, used to distinguish users and track usage patterns across sessions
• Purchase History: Information about in-app purchases and subscription transactions, including purchase events, subscription status changes, and transaction details

This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. We use this data solely to analyze app performance, understand user behavior, and improve our services. We do not sell this data to third parties. You may opt out of Google Analytics data collection by adjusting your device's advertising and tracking settings.

• Local Storage Only: All personal information, garden data, and plant images are kept on your mobile phone only and are NOT stored on our servers
• Temporary Third-Party Transfer: Plant images and chat messages are transferred to Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) services ONLY for temporary processing and analysis
• Device Storage: Images and garden data are saved on your device and transmitted to Google for temporary processing
• No Permanent Cloud Storage by Us: We do not permanently store your images or garden data in the cloud or on our own servers
• Google Processing: Data sent to Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) is processed temporarily and is NOT stored for long-term storage by Google according to their data retention policies
• No Deletion Control: Because data is handled by Google and not stored on our servers, we CANNOT delete data that has been sent to Google
• Third-Party Retention: Data retention and deletion by Google are governed by Google's and OpenAI's respective privacy policies, over which we have no control

6. Data Retention

• Plant Images: Plant images are not stored on our servers at any time - they are only stored locally on your device and temporarily processed by Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT)
• Garden Data: Garden layouts, crop information, and planting history are stored locally on your device only
• Google AI Processing: Data sent to Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) for processing is processed temporarily and is NOT stored for long-term storage by Google according to their data retention policies, over which we have no control
• No Deletion Control: We CANNOT delete data that has been sent to Google - their retention and deletion are governed by Google's and OpenAI's respective privacy policies
• Usage Data: Usage statistics and app analytics are retained for app improvement purposes
• Subscription Data: Subscription and payment information is managed by RevenueCat and app store providers (Apple and Google)
• Local Data: All garden data, plant images, and history are stored locally on your device and can be deleted through the app at any time

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request information about data we have collected
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
• Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
