Download Lawn Care from the App Store or Google Play Store and open the app. You'll go through a quick onboarding to set up your lawn profile - take a photo of your lawn for AI analysis, set your location for personalized care schedules, and get recommendations tailored to your grass type and climate. You can also use the AI assistant for lawn care questions. Remember: This is an educational and entertainment tool only - always consult professional lawn care specialists for official advice.
Lawn Care uses Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) to provide grass type identification, lawn health diagnosis, an AI lawn care chat assistant, personalized mowing and fertilization schedules based on your climate zone, weed identification, pest and disease diagnosis, and seasonal lawn care recommendations. All AI-powered features provide APPROXIMATE results for educational/entertainment purposes only.
Lawn Care offers a free tier with limited lawn scans per month. Premium subscription tiers (weekly and yearly) provide unlimited scans, full access to the AI assistant, and all features. A 3-day free trial is available with the weekly subscription.
IMPORTANT: Lawn Care is an EDUCATIONAL AND ENTERTAINMENT TOOL ONLY, not a professional lawn care or landscaping service. AI can and will make mistakes, and all information - including grass identifications, lawn care advice, fertilization plans, pest/disease diagnoses, and treatment recommendations - may be significantly inaccurate or completely wrong. The lawn care schedule uses your location to determine your climate zone and growing season, then generates personalized mowing, fertilization, and treatment schedules for your grass type. Note that schedules are APPROXIMATE and may not account for local microclimates, unusual weather, or specific soil conditions. Always verify with your local lawn care professional or agricultural extension service for the most accurate information for your area.
Lawn images and care data are stored locally on your device. Images are temporarily transmitted to Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) services for processing but are NOT stored for long-term storage by Google. Because images are processed by Google and not stored on our servers, we CANNOT delete images from Google's or OpenAI's systems. Please see our Privacy Policy for more details about data handling and Google's and OpenAI's respective data retention policies.
Try closing the app completely and reopening it. If the problem persists, restart your device. Make sure you have the latest version of Lawn Care installed from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Response times can vary based on Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) server load and internet connection. Try checking your internet connection and restarting the app if responses are consistently slow.
Make sure your location is set correctly in the app settings. The lawn care schedule uses your location to determine growing seasons and climate zone. Note that dates are APPROXIMATE and should be verified with your local lawn care professional or agricultural extension service.
Lawn Care requires camera access to take photos of your lawn and storage access to save your lawn data and analysis history. Grant the necessary permissions in your device settings under Privacy & Security.
Check your internet connection as the chat feature requires connectivity to communicate with Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT). Try restarting the app. If the problem persists, contact support.
AI identification depends on image quality, lighting, and angle. Try taking a clearer photo in good lighting, focusing on the grass blades up close. Remember that ALL identifications are APPROXIMATE and may be incorrect - always verify with a professional for important decisions.
