Download Holomint from the App Store or Google Play Store and open the app. You'll go through a quick onboarding to set up your collector profile. Then simply scan a trading card using your camera for AI-powered identification, valuation, and condition assessment. You can also use the AI assistant for card collecting questions. Remember: This is an educational and entertainment tool only - always consult professional grading services or qualified dealers for official valuations.
Holomint uses Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) to provide TCG card identification (including set, rarity, edition, and variants), estimated market valuation, condition assessment, an AI card collecting chat assistant, collection management, and market trend insights. All AI-powered features provide APPROXIMATE results for educational/entertainment purposes only.
Holomint offers a free tier with limited card scans per month. Premium subscription tiers (weekly and yearly) provide unlimited scans, full access to the AI assistant, and all features. A 3-day free trial is available with the weekly subscription.

Holomint's AI can identify cards from popular trading card games including Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and other major TCG franchises. Note that identifications are APPROXIMATE and may not account for all variants, printings, or regional editions. Always verify with professional resources for important transactions.
Card images and collection data are stored locally on your device. Images are temporarily transmitted to Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) services for processing but are NOT stored for long-term storage by Google. Because images are processed by Google and not stored on our servers, we CANNOT delete images from Google's or OpenAI's systems. Please see our Privacy Policy for more details about data handling and Google's and OpenAI's respective data retention policies.
Try closing the app completely and reopening it. If the problem persists, restart your device. Make sure you have the latest version of Holomint installed from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Response times can vary based on Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT) server load and internet connection. Try checking your internet connection and restarting the app if responses are consistently slow.
AI identification depends on image quality, lighting, and angle. Try taking a clearer photo in good, even lighting with the full card visible. Avoid glare on holographic or foil cards. Remember that ALL identifications are APPROXIMATE and may be incorrect - always verify with professional resources for important decisions.
Holomint requires camera access to scan your cards and storage access to save your collection data and scan history. Grant the necessary permissions in your device settings under Privacy & Security.
Check your internet connection as the chat feature requires connectivity to communicate with Google Gemini AI and/or OpenAI (ChatGPT). Try restarting the app. If the problem persists, contact support.

Prices can vary significantly based on condition, edition, and current market trends. Place cards on a dark, flat surface. Use even lighting and avoid glare, especially on holographic or foil cards. Capture the full card clearly with no obstructions. For condition assessment, ensure edges and corners are visible.
Scan cards regularly to keep your collection up to date. Use the AI assistant for insights on your collection's estimated value and to discover cards you may want to add.
