Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started?

Download EverQuit from the App Store or Google Play and open it. During a quick onboarding you'll choose what you want to quit (smoking, vaping, and/or alcohol), set your quit date, and enter a few details like how much you used to consume and what it cost. EverQuit then shows your progress. Remember: EverQuit is a self-help and motivation tool, not medical advice.

What does EverQuit do?

EverQuit tracks time since your quit date, estimates money saved and units avoided, shows general health-recovery milestones and achievement badges, and offers a craving "SOS" with breathing exercises and motivational prompts. You can log cravings, pledges, and relapses to see your patterns over time.

Is EverQuit free?

EverQuit offers a free tier with limited use. Paid options unlock additional features — a Monthly subscription and a Lifetime one-time purchase. Any free trial and current pricing are shown in the App at purchase.

What does "Lifetime" mean?

"Lifetime" means the lifetime of the EverQuit app — not your personal lifetime. A lifetime purchase is a one-time payment that unlocks paid features for as long as the App remains available and supported. It is not a guarantee that the App will be available forever; if the App is ever discontinued, access ends. See our Terms of Service (Section 6.5) for details.

How accurate are the money-saved and health stats?

They are estimates based on the numbers you enter (such as how much you used to consume and what it cost) and on general assumptions. They are approximate, may be wrong, and are not financial or medical advice. Health-timeline items are general educational information and may not apply to your situation.

What about my privacy?

Your tracker data (quit dates, baselines, cravings, pledges, relapse notes) is stored locally on your device. We don't require your real name, and we don't keep a central database of your entries. We use analytics, attribution, and subscription providers to run and improve the App; in the EEA/UK/CH these are consent-gated. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Because your tracker data is stored on your device, you can delete it in the App or by removing the App. Data handled by third parties (analytics, attribution, and the app stores / RevenueCat) is governed by their policies, which we don't control.

Troubleshooting

App won't open or crashes

Close and reopen the App, then restart your device if needed. Make sure you have the latest version installed from the App Store or Google Play.

My counter or savings looks wrong

Counters and savings are calculated from your quit date and the baseline figures you entered. Check that your quit date, consumption amounts, cost, and currency are correct in the tracker's settings, and update them if needed. All figures are estimates.

I'm not getting reminders/notifications

Make sure notifications are enabled for EverQuit in your device settings and within the App. On some devices, battery-saver or "Do Not Disturb" settings can delay or block notifications.

I logged a relapse — did I lose my progress?

No. EverQuit is designed to be non-punitive: logging a relapse starts a new streak while keeping your history, including your longest streak. Relapses are part of many people's journeys.

I was charged / I want to manage my subscription

The monthly subscription renews automatically until cancelled. Manage or cancel in your app store: on iOS, Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; on Android, Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies — see our Terms of Service.

Restore a purchase

If paid features don't appear after subscribing, buying lifetime, or reinstalling, use "Restore Purchases" on the subscription screen, and make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account used to purchase.

Tips for Getting the Most Out of EverQuit

🗓

Set an Honest Baseline

Enter your real consumption and costs so your counters and savings estimates are as meaningful as possible. You can edit them anytime.

🧘

Use the Craving SOS

When a craving hits, open the SOS for a breathing exercise and a reminder of your progress. Logging the craving helps you spot your triggers over time.

Get Real Support Too

EverQuit is a motivational aid, not a treatment. For quitting plans, medication, or health concerns, talk to a doctor, pharmacist, or counselor.
